Sure, they are cheap to purchase in the first place, but are they good value for money given they don't last long?

What do you all think of the cheap imported roof top tent?

I often wondered if Shippshape were still in production. Now that you are back, I wish you all the success you desire.

Anyone thinking of buying one should, I am now bringing mine back from a 18 mounts hibernation and putting it on out new dual cab landcruiser it has been an excellent tent for 20 years for us, being use for 9 months back before we got married ( pre 98) the tent is a 90 model and has live one my SWB landcruiser, on top my tool trailer , mates Utes and two years ago strapped to the builders racks of our hilux for a 5 week trip up Cape York, for our family of 4. Now we are getting it ready for a Simpsom desert crossing. I'm still surprised at the number of people that ask us where they can get one and the last trip to the Cape an old bloke came up to us after we had setup and asked if we could pull it down and put it up again as he had gone to the toilet just as we had pulled into the campground and had missed seeing how quick it went up. This has been an awesome tent with just some small holes in the fly screen in all that time which I fixed with silicon. Try getting that from one of those cheap new rooftop tents.
